yes hey Jacko thanks for being here Ive been in the Army for three years now and for the past year Ive been thinking about putting in a packet for Special Forces selection so I guess I just wanted to ask you to talk a little bit about when you join the SEAL Teams and what did you do to physically and mentally prepare yourself and and generally why did you why did you decide to join man I wanted to do that since I was a little kid when I heard that this I heard that the seals was the toughest training and thats not the necessarily true thing all the training is hard theres the Special Forces the the MARSOC units the Raiders the Air Force PJs and CCC is that it its everyones got their awesome Special Operations units and the training is all hard and also when I heard that the seals the toughest training I said okay thats what I want to do what do you do to get ready for you know what you got to do to get ready for it you you know army guess what youre gonna be humping a rock yo

You must be a member of the Navy to be a SEAL, but Delta Team pools from many branches. Many U.S. Navy SEALs become a part of Delta Force over time. Both operate very similarly, but where they conduct their operations usually varies.
Your grades, leadership jobs, sports and athletic events completed, foreign languages and even community service hours come into play into selection. It is extremely difficult to become a Navy Seal. During this program, students overcome obstacles designed to test their stamina, teamwork, and leadership. For every 1,000 people who start Navy Seal training, only around 200 to 250 succeed. To even just qualify for the Navy Seal training program is difficult.
But despite any rivalry, and despite the differences between the two units, they're ultimately both on the same side in the fight against terrorism, and even work together (unofficially, of course) on many missions.
Qualifications & Requirements Meet the minimum Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) score: GS+MC+EI=170 or VE+MK+MC+CS=220 or VE+AR=110 MC=50. Be 28 years of age or younger. Pass a physical examination required for divers. Be a U.S. citizen and eligible for security clearance.
