With baseline JPEG, your users see a large white space on the screen or a loading circle spinning until the image has finished loading. With progressive JPEG, visitors can already see the entire image at first sight. Although its blurry, they can still understand whats in the image.
Adjust the brightness of a picture Under Picture Tools, on the Format tab, in the Adjust group, click Brightness. Click the brightness percentage that you want. To-fine tune the amount of brightness, click Picture Corrections Options, and then move the Brightness slider, or enter a number in the box next to the slider.
A baseline JPEG is a file stored as one top-to-bottom scan of an image, unlike the more complex progressive JPEG. The degree of compression can be adjusted, allowing a selectable tradeoff between storage size and image quality. JPEG typically achieves 10:1 compression with little perceptible loss in image quality.
Baseline Optimized creates a file with optimized color and a slightly smaller file size. Progressive displays a series of increasingly detailed versions of the image (you specify how many) as it downloads. (Not all web browsers support optimized and Progressive JPEG images.)
If you want the images on your website to load faster, its better to change them into progressive JPEG format. It works by loading images in successive waves. Youll see a blurry or pixelated picture at first, but itll clear out. To see if your website contains baseline JPEG images, you can use the WebPageTest tool.
Step 1: Import JPEG/ JPG image files into Lightroom. Step 2: Select a file in the Library module. Step 3: Select Develop module to edit JPG photo. You can adjust brightness, exposure, shadows etc., to enhance your photo.
Less waiting time for users With baseline JPEG, your users see a large white space on the screen or a loading circle spinning until the image has finished loading.
