To get access to the inking tool, just click on the Review tab and click the Start Inking button. A new tab will appear called Ink Tools. See the ribbon in Figure 2. The default tool is the pen, but you can quickly switch to the highlighter.
Tip: keyboard shortcut Ctrl + M toggles the annotations on and off on the screen. (For more details about PowerPoint shortcuts, please see the official documentation.)
Share your presentation with others and collaborate on it at the same time Open your PowerPoint presentation, and choose Share. in the top-right corner of the ribbon when youre ready to collaborate. In the Send Link box, enter the email address of the person youd like to share the presentation with. Click Share.
When you exit the slide show, select Keep the Annotations. O Before beginning the slide show, select Save All Annotations. During the slide show, right-click and select Save Annotations. O All annotations are automatically saved as a copy of the presentation.
Press and hold CTRL while you click the shapes, pictures, or other objects to group. You will need to select more than one shape, picture or object in order to enable the Group button. You can select all the objects on a slide by pressing CTRL+A. Select the Arrange button and choose Group.
Turn on automatic inking On the PowerPoint, Word, or Excel menu, select Preferences Authoring and Proofing Tools General. In the Pen section, clear the box next to Use pen to select and interact with content by default.
At the end of your slide show, when youre about to return to Normal (editing) view, PowerPoint gives you the opportunity to save your ink annotations. Choose Discard to get rid of the annotations. Choose Keep to save the ink-pen annotations on the slides.
Convert your ink drawings to shapes On the Draw tab, select Ink to Shape. (This mode must be turned on before you draw the shape.) Draw the shape of your choice. To continue inking but stop having your drawings automatically converted to shapes, select Ink to Shape once again.
