Some PDF viewers might also display the metadata on a panel while you are viewing the PDF. The most popular PDF viewer is docHub. In docHub, you can view metadata by going to the file option on a PDF document and clicking on Document Properties.
How to view PDF metadata? Open the concerned PDF document in docHub and go to File Properties Description. It will show you a window that consists of different components of the metadata of the concerned PDF document.
PDF files retain some basic file description metadata, such as author, file name, and date, which can be minimized if the proper conversion settings are used (see page 31).
If you go to the document properties of a PDF file (control or command d), if the proper metadata is available, it will list the creation date and time and modified date and time. This can help you determine if a pdf file has been modified since creation. However, it is not foolproof.
In the Books app , you can open and save PDFs that you receive in Mail, Messages, and other apps.
The standard PDF metadata includes the following fields: Title, Author, Subject, Keywords, Application, PDF Producer, Created, Modified and etc. The metadata can be viewed and edited via File Properties menu in docHub Acrobat (Desription tab).
In the Preview app on your Mac, open a PDF or image. Click the Info button in the toolbar. Use the tools in the Inspector window to view more information about the PDF or image. View general information about a PDF or image.
To edit the metadata, tap the Metadata-button in the toolbar: This bring up the metadata popover: Here you can edit the contents freely and the changes will be reflected in your notes header.
