hello everyone today we are going to solve a pair of equations uh posed by srinivas ramanujan this is a very interesting one and its quite tricky to solve if you want to give it a try just give it a try otherwise keep watching how to solve it so first thing what we are going to do we will say this will subtract these two equation so what we will do we will subtract this two equation first and lets see what happens so ill try this way you can find out x and put in y your choice but i find this way is quite useful anyway so now x plus square root of y equals to 7 minus 11 okay now well simplify it so this is square root of x plus y minus x minus y equals to minus 4 and now if you notice here if you rearrange this one as for example say y minus x and plus square root of x minus y and now what you are going to do is just see here will pay them first and what will do we will take a negative sign common from here and this becomes x minus y and plus square root of x minus square root of
