You can set up alerts in Excel to remind you about approaching due dates in a variety of ways. For example, you can have a pop-up message appear on your screen, have an email sent to you, or have a text message sent to your phone.
The MOD function in Excel is used to find remainder after division of one number (dividend) by another (divisor). In mathematics, this operation is called the modulo operation or modulus, hence the name MOD. The MOD function has the following syntax: MOD(number, divisor)
Do one of the following: To insert the date, type the date (like 2/2), and then click Home Number Format dropdown (in the Number tab) Short Date or Long Date. To insert the time, type the time, and then click Home Number Format dropdown (in the Number tab) Time.
=MOD(number, divisor) This function uses the following arguments: Number (required argument) This is the number for which we wish to find the remainder. Divisor (required argument) This is the number by which we want to divide the number.
The MOD function returns the remainder after division. For example, MOD(3,2) returns 1, because 2 goes into 3 once, with a remainder of 1. The MOD function takes two arguments: number and divisor. Number is the number to be divided, and divisor is the number used to divide.
In Condition 1 type the following formula =MOD(ROW(),2)=0. The ROW function returns the row number of the current cell and then the MOD function is used to obtain the remainder after dividing this number by 2. This formula is True for any cells that have even row numbers.
Creating pop-ups in Excel Open the Workbook and open the VBA Editor (ALT F11), Open the ThisWorkbook code module, from the list on the left. Enter the following: Private Sub WorkbookOpen() MsgBox Insert Message Here End Sub. If you want to enter a line break enter the code: Chr(13)
The entire magic is in the formula =MOD(ROW(),2)=1. [MOD formula returns the remainder when the ROW number is divided by 2]. This evaluates each cell and checks if it meets the criteria.
