TERMS OF REFERENCE (TOR)
Finally, the SOW almost always comes before the charter in the project timeline. Once the statement of work is completed and signed off, the project charter can be drafted and work can commence.
A Statement of Work (SOW), is a document that lays the groundwork for a project. Its an agreement with an agency and a client (or other subcontractors and service providers) that includes the details of the project payment terms, deliverables, timelines, expected outcomes, and more.
Terms of Reference (TOR) means the document included in the RFP as Section 5 which explains the objectives, scope of work, activities, tasks to be performed, respective responsibilities of the Client and the Consultant, and expected results and deliverables of the assignment.
SOW means the document specifying, without limitation, the scope, objective, and time frame of the Work that Supplier will perform for Cisco.
