So lets say you want to count the number of records and store that number somewhere. Maybe you have an account and you want to store the number of invoices or opportunities or something like that. Well, theres a feature called roll-up summary fields. So you could go to the account object, you could create a new field, you create a roll-up summary field. You give it a name and then you pick which object youd like to count. Now, not all of the related objects are going to to show up here. Really has to do with the type of relationship between the two objects. But if your object does show up, then you can decide, do I want to just count all of the records or do I want to summarize some value within those records? So for example, do I want to see how many opportunities, or do I want to total the amount of all the closed opportunities? So you can eve
