TXT Record vs CNAME Record CNAME is a standard DNS record that redirects your domains subdomain to another domain or hostname. This is its main and the only goal. The TXT record works in a different manner. The TXT record holds human and/or machine-readable text.
Step by step create a TXT record inside the zone file: Login to your DNS server as administrator. Launch the DNS Management Console. On DNS Manager window, expand your DNS name. Right click on your domain name and select Other New Records to add a new TXT record.
In the admin center, go to the Settings Domains page. On the Domains page, select your domain, then select Continue setup. On the Domain Verification page, select Add a TXT record to the domains DNS records, then select Continue. Copy the TXT value shown.
How to create TXT records for SPF DMARC with Google Domains Log in to your Google Domains account, select your Domain, and go to the DNS section. Scroll down to the Custom resource records and create the following record: Name: Enter the host name for the TXT record. Click Add to publish the new record.
Add a TXT record for verification To get started, go to your domains page at 123-reg.co.uk by using this link. Select Domains, and on the Domain name overview page, select the name of the domain that you want to verify or go to Control panel. Click on the domain name you wish to create a TXT record for. Click Manage DNS Records. Here you will add the desired TXT record, provided by your host.
How to add a TXT Record to a Round Robin Hostname From your No-IP Account, click My Services at the left, then DNS Records. Under Hostname Type, click DNS Hostname (A) to select the A Record and save the changes by clicking Update Hostname at the bottom of the page.
Log into your domain-hosting account. Go to your domains DNS settings page, which may be called something like Domain Name Management or Name Server Settings. Locate the TXT records form for your domain on this page.
Create a new TXT record on the registrars web site. Look for a field labeled Name, Host, or Alias. Enter @. Paste the verification code you copied into the field labeled Value, Answer, Destination, or Server. Enter 1 hour in the TTL field, or you can leave the default value.
