Cannot insert object? error can occur if the object you are trying to insert is corrupted or the file in which you are inserting the object is damaged. If the issue has occurred due to a corrupted Excel file, then you can repair the file using the Open and Repair utility in MS Excel.
Create a new object from inside Excel Click inside the cell of the spreadsheet where you want to insert the object. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Object . On the Create New tab, select the type of object you want to insert from the list presented. Click OK. Create the new object you want to insert.
How to embed a PDF into Excel as an Object Open your Excel spreadsheet. Click on the Insert menu. Select the Object button from the Text section. Click on the Create New tab and from the list of object types, select docHub Document. In the Open dialog, select the PDF from your computer and click on OK.
Open PDF with Preview. Select the PDF data and right click to choose Copy. Then open a blank Excel spreadsheet, paste the PDF data to the file and save it.
Locate and click on the Insert tab in the menu ribbon. Click Text in the upper right-hand corner of the menu ribbon and then click on Object.
Embed an object in a worksheet Click inside the cell of the spreadsheet where you want to insert the object. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Object . In the Object dialog box, click the Create from File tab. Click Browse, and select the file you want to insert.
Do as follows: Open Excel and go to File. Click Options and choose the Trust Center tab. In the Trust Center Settings, choose ActiveX Settings. Ensure the Enable all controls without restrictions and without prompting option is checked.
In Excel, go to the For Objects option and select Show All, as it will let you add shapes, charts, and images shown in your spreadsheet. If the Show All option setting is unchecked, it wont add shapes, charts, and images to your spreadsheet but will appear as greyed objects.
