The mail merge process creates a sheet of mailing labels that you can print, and each label on the sheet contains an address from the list. To create and print the mailing labels, you must first prepare the worksheet data in Excel, and then use Word to configure, organize, review, and print the mailing labels.
Change Background Colour in Excel If you want to ensure the colours in your Excel spreadsheet match your company colours: Select the Cells. Click Fill Colour Drop Down Arrow. Choose More Colours.
Add a sheet background Make sure that only one worksheet is selected. On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Background. Select the picture that you want to use for the sheet background, and then click Insert. The selected picture is repeated to fill the sheet.
Use the Tags button to insert a Tag into an empty cell, just like Word. If a cell already has a Tag, you can double-click on the cell, or select the cell and click on the Edit Tag button to bring up the Tag Editor on that Tag.
Heres how: Select the cells that you want to adjust. Right-click on one of the selected cells and choose Format Cells from the context menu. In the Format Cells dialog box, click on the tab for Alignment. In the Cell Margins section, enter the amount of space that you want around the cells.
Create and print a page of different labels Go to Mailings Labels. Select Options. Select the type of printer youre using. Select your label brand in Label products. Select the label type in Product number. Select OK. Select OK in the Labels dialog box. Type the information you want in each label.
Select Mailings Write Insert Fields Update Labels. Once you have the Excel spreadsheet and the Word document set up, you can merge the information and print your labels. Click Finish Merge in the Finish group on the Mailings tab. Click Edit Individual Documents to preview how your printed labels will appear.

Switch to the Insert tab Illustrations group, and click Pictures. In the Insert Picture dialog that opens, browse to the picture of interest, select it, and click Insert.
Go to Mailings Start Mail Merge Step-by-Step Mail Merge Wizard. In the Mail Merge menu, select Labels. Select Starting document Label Options to choose your label size. Choose Select recipients Browse to upload the mailing list. Select Arrange your labels Address block to add recipient information.
