- [Jennifer] Hi there, and welcome. This is Jennifer McGuire, and I appreciate you stopping by. So I do die cutting on my cards almost as much as I do stamping. I think there are so many great things that you can do with die cutting. But I always am looking for more. I always wanna find ways to stretch my products to find new looks. Well, today Im going to share lots of techniques for die cut inlay. This is where you place die cut pieces back into its original shape, or you mix and match them. I have like nine techniques Im going to share today with even more cards. Now, Ive done some of these techniques in past videos, but I thought Id pull them all together and add a few new ones in this video. Now, Ill be using a variety of dies today, different ones that Ive been wanting to use for some time. However you can use dies that you already have. So I encourage you to watch this and then look through your stash to see what you can use for the techniques. Okay, for all of my die cut

Another difference is that TIFF files support layers, whereas JPEG files do not. This means that you can edit a TIFF file and change the order of the layers, whereas with a JPEG file you can only edit the image as a whole. Finally, TIFF files use the RGB color model, whereas JPEG files use the CMYK colour model.
The TIFF file (that contains layers) will reopen by Edit InEdit in Photoshop , and because the TIFF is an RGB file you will get the options where you choose [Edit Original] or [Edit a Copy].
Disadvantages of TIFF files. Detail and resolution lead to TIFFs being quite large files. Their size makes them difficult to share or send to contacts or clients. Their high quality makes them a poor choice for website design, since detailed images can slow a websites loading speed.
TIFF files are docHubly larger than their JPEG counterparts, and can be either uncompressed or compressed using lossless compression. Unlike JPEG, TIFF files can have a bit depth of either 16-bits per channel or 8-bits per channel, and multiple layered images can be stored in a single TIFF file.
JPEG format It does not support transparency, alpha channels or layers. Unlike GIF format, JPEG retains all color information in an RGB image but compresses file size by selectively discarding data.
Some image file formats such as TIFF, PSD and PDF, support layers.
When editing an image, consider saving it as a TIFF, instead of a JPEG file. TIFF files are larger, but will not lose any quality or clarity when edited and saved repeatedly. JPEGs, on the other hand, will lose a small amount of quality and clarity each time they are saved.
TIFF files store much more image data than their JPEG counterparts. This makes them a favorite with photographers due to their stunning image quality.
