The ideal file format choice for print is TIFF, followed closely by PNG.
With JPEG files, the white balance is already balanced. This is a big reason why JPEGs look more finished than their RAW counterparts straight off the camera. A change you can make in a one-step increment in Lightroom, like white balance, you can only make in a five-step increment with JPEGs, Morrison points out.
In your Settings menu, find and tap on Camera. In the Camera menu, tap on Formats at the very top of the menu. Here you can select either High Efficiency, which will allow your iPhone to shoot and store HEIC files, or Most Compatible, which will have your phone capture JPEGs.

If youre printing something smaller-scale -- think a small photo album or scrapbooking material -- JPEG will do just fine. If youre printing something large, however, where quality is important -- like an art piece or giclee art-- you should go with the TIFF format.
However, its important to understand that if you print a raw file without making any adjustments you will end up with an image that is virtually identical to a JPEG file that was shot simultaneously. The only difference will be that the raw file is larger and gives you much greater flexibility for editing.
Start by choosing File and then Print, and clicking the Position and Size settings. Usually, the default option is Scale to Fit Media, which prints to the page margins. Deselect it, then manually enter scale, height and width values that equal the full size of your paper. Click Print to print your image.
PDFs will often be higher quality than JPEGs. This is because JPEGs compress images, leading to a loss in quality that you cant regain. Visuals saved as PDF are of very high quality and even customizable, making them the file format of choice for printers.
It is usually better to convert raw files and edit them in an application like docHub Photoshop or Photoshop Elements before making prints. Why Shoot Raw Files? Raw files are like digital negatives. Raw files allow you to extract much more image data to work with. Raw files dont have any white balance settings.
