If you havent updated Instagram in a while, you may not have the GIF comment feature yet. Open the App Store or Google Play Store and see if theres an update available for the IG app. Try commenting on a different post. If you cant comment on a post at all, the person who created the post may have disabled comments.
Select the post where you want to leave a comment and tap the Comment icon. Select the GIF icon on the right side of the Comment field. If you see a Sticker icon instead, select it and then tap the GIF icon on the bottom right.
How does it work? - Click the GIF button in the top right of your comment box - A GIPHY dropdown will appear on-screen so you can search for your purrfect GIF - Select your GIF, and it will appear wherever your cursor is in the text box - Youre done!
You can only post GIFs in comments on your own posts or on friends posts. You cant post GIFs in comments of posts from pages that youve liked. Select the Comment option beneath a post and look for the GIF icon that appears on the right side of the comment field.
How to Text a GIF on iOS and Android in 2023 Open your default messaging app. Tap the icon with an A on the left side. Search for the #images app (usually the first option). Select #images and choose the GIF file you want to text.
Tap on the comment box ( ) at the bottom of the post and select the GIF button ( ). Search for your gifs in the search box powered by GIPHY. Tap your desired GIF. If you change your mind and want a different GIF, simply delete it like you would with text. Complete the rest of your comment and click Reply.
