Important:TXT record changes can take up to 24-48 hours to go into effect, but it usually happens much sooner. Note:You can check the status of your change by looking up which DNS records are currently in effect for your domain by using a tool like Dig.
TXT records are a type of Domain Name System (DNS) record in text format, which contain information about your domain. TXT records also have information that helps external network servers and services handle outgoing email from your domain.
Add a DNS TXT entry to your DNS record to confirm ownership Add the TXT entry to your DNS record. Add @ to the Host field (if it is required by your domain host). Once the changes have propagated across your domains web servers, click the Verify button at the bottom of the DNS Verification tab for the selected domain.
Right click on your domain name and select Other New Records to add a new TXT record. Scroll down and select Text (TXT) and click Create Record button.
Enter the details for your TXT record: Name: The host name for the record. Type @ to put the TXT record on your root domain, or enter a prefix such as mail. Value: The text string for the TXT record. This is usually provided by your SSL, hosting or email provider. TTL: How long the server should cache information.
Step by step create a TXT record inside the zone file: Login to your DNS server as administrator. Launch the DNS Management Console. On DNS Manager window, expand your DNS name. Right click on your domain name and select Other New Records to add a new TXT record.
Step by step create a CAA record inside the zone file: Login to your DNS server using superuser as root. Launch the terminal. Locate your DNS zone file. WARNING ! Press Ctrl-X to save the modification. Restart your DNS service by typing:service named restart.
In the admin center, go to the Settings Domains page. On the Domains page, select your domain, then select Continue setup. On the Domain Verification page, select Add a TXT record to the domains DNS records, then select Continue. Copy the TXT value shown.
