But aside from that, they have solved a lot of pain points that we were previously fixing with the help of add-ins. Now, there are still a lot of great free items out there that many people arent aware of, lets check them out! First of all, how do you an add-in? You open PowerPoint, go to Insert, Add-ins, Get Add-ins, then you can browse by the different categories or search what youre looking for, and then just click on Add. The first one that I want to show you is called Pro Word Cloud. This gives you a visual representation of text data, so words that appear more frequently in your text are going to be bigger and bolder. This way, you can easily spot trends when youre dealing with a lot of text. To it, you just have to type Pro Word Cloud, thats the one we want, and then click on Add and continue.

Switch to the Insert tab and click on Web Page in the LiveWeb section. Under Insert you have new options in PowerPoint. This starts an assistant, the first step of which you can skip. In the next dialog, enter the address of the website.
You can insert images, ClipArt, shapes, screenshots and so on by clicking on the appropriate icon on one of the various slide layouts or by going to the Insert Ribbon and then clicking on the object of your choice in the Images or Illustrations Group.
Insert an embedded object Click in the slide where you want to place the object. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Object. Do one of the following: If the object does not already exist, click Create new.
In PowerPoint, go to the slide where you want to insert the content. On the toolbar ribbon, select the Insert tab, select Video, and then select Online Video. The Insert Video dialog box opens. Paste the embed code in the box named From a Video Embed Code, and then press Enter.
Click on the Insert tab on the ribbon and click on the object icon. Click Create from file, then Browse, and search for the HTML file on your hard drive. Click OK when you have selected the desired HTML file. Check the Link box if you do not want the file to be embedded in the PowerPoint document.
Go to the slide where you want to embed the file. Click on Insert from the top menu and locate object on the banner options to insert any file into the presentation. You can add a Microsoft Excel Workbook, a Microsoft Word Document, a pdf, or any other file type if it is listed in the options.
When you embed a PowerPoint presentation object in your document, Word runs the PowerPoint slide show when you double-click the presentation object in the document. You cannot edit the presentation within the document. The presentation object can be embedded only, not linked.
Add notes to your slides On the View menu, click Normal. Select the thumbnail of the slide you want to add notes to. The notes pane will appear beneath your slide. Click where it says Click to add notes and type whatever notes youd like to add. To hide the notes pane, click the Notes button. on the task bar.
