Basic Tagging in Acrobat Open the untagged PDF in Acrobat. Open the Tags panel. Click the options menu (or right-click the No Tags Available text) and select Add Tags to Document. Acrobat will automatically generate tags for the document. Please review your tags in the Tags panel and make corrections if necessary.
To tag a PDF in Acrobat, choose Tools Accessibility Add Tags To Document. This command works on any untagged PDF, such as one created with docHub PDF Printer. Acrobat analyzes the content of the PDF to interpret the individual page elements, their hierarchical structure, and the intended reading order of each page.
To add alt text in docHub: Open a tagged PDF in Acrobat. Open the Order panel. Images that require alt text will display the following message: Figure - No alternate text exists. Right-click the image and select Edit Alternate Text. Type your alt text in the text box and click the OK button.
If a footnote is referenced in a tables header cell, add the note in a Paragraph tag below the table in the Tags tree. Place the Note tag (in a P) as the last tag for the page where it appears in the physical view. Use this option if the same footnote is referred to multiple times on the page.
