If you havent had a chance to see Designer in action, here is what it does in a nutshell. Here I have a plain boring presentation using one of PowerPoints built-in themes, in this case, The Office Theme. Now, if I were to add a picture to the slide, Designer, that brand new feature I was telling you about will pop up and make new layout suggestions based upon the theme I have chosen and the pictures I have inserted and that is what designer does. It instantly gives you a slide makeover if you are using the title slide or the title and content slide that is or one of Microsoft built-in themes. If you are using your own custom theme or template, Designer will not have any ideas for you. Select a text box, or select some text inside of the text box. On the Format tab, click the More drop-down arrow in the WordArt Styles group. A drop-down menu of WordArt Styles will appear. Select the style you want to use.
Setting up Your Styles You can choose to create your styles in the Master itself (the topmost slide in the Master) which will apply styling to all Layouts in the Master, or you can create your styles in an individual Layout which is what well do here in the default Title and Content layout.
Resolution In the Slide Design task pane, browse to the slide design that you want. When you rest the mouse pointer over your selected design in the Slide Design task pane, a gray options button with an arrow appears. Click Apply to Selected Slides in the options button list.
