In this video, were going to learn how to prepare your CSV file to import notes. You will need to prepare a CSV file with three columns mapping the values for each row you wish to insert. First, create a CSV with the following columns with the required fields. Title. This is the title of the note. Owner ID. This is the user ID of the note owner. If its not included in your file, the owner defaults to the user performing the data load. You can get the owner ID by logging into the org, going to the user page, and obtaining it from the browser. You can also export a list of user ID records from the data loader. Content. This is the path on your local system to the .txt or .html file that contains the body of the note. How to use it Open your dataset in Notepad++ Open the CSV Lint window from the plug-in menu or toolbar. Press Detect columns to automatically detect format. Optionally, manually enter or adjust metadata. Press Validate data to detect any data errors.
Export data to a text file by saving it Go to File Save As. Click Browse. In the Save As dialog box, under Save as type box, choose the text file format for the worksheet; for example, click Text (Tab delimited) or CSV (Comma delimited). Note: The different formats support different feature sets.
The most common qualifier is double quotes (). Most programs include the qualifier when saving in CSV format. For example, the following file is in Excel. You create a CSV file in Excel by clicking File, Save as and selecting CSV (Comma Delimited) in the Save as type drop-down.

Convert to CSV Example Open the text file in Notepad or in Notepad++. Press ctrl+H to invoke Replace window. Then in Find What type single space and in Replace with type a comma. Then click on Replace All button to replace all single space with the comma ,.
In Notepad on your PC, open the File menu and choose Save As. Enter the name of your file and add the . csv extension. This will automatically change it to CSV format!
Comments are supported in Outline Load utility input CSV files. For single line comments, place the hash character as the first character on the line; for example, # comment. Blank lines are ignored.
