Hey everyone, Kevin here. Today I want to show you my favorite free PDF editor, LibreOffice Draw. With LibreOffice Draw, you can edit both traditional PDFs and also scanned PDFs. It also has lots of other capabilities as well, and Ill show you what some of those are today, and once again, best of all, its entirely free. Lets jump on the PC and first off, Ill show you how you can get it. To get LibreOffice Draw, open up your web browser and head to the website libreoffice.org. This will drop you on the LibreOffice home page. So, what is LibreOffice? Well, the easiest way to think of it is its kind of like Microsoft Office or Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Its an office productivity suite and one of the applications included is called LibreOffice Draw and this allows us to edit PDFs. docHub To reduce PDF file size in docHub, open the file in Acrobat, select Tools, and click on PDF Optimiser from the drop-down menu. Once you do that, Acrobat will apply default settings to your file to attempt to reduce its size.
Incorrect Settings If this happens, check your output settings. Some PDF converters default to a relatively low resolution for output, resulting in a fuzzy-looking result. Use the same resolutions you would for originals, and dont choose images made at screen resolution for a document you intend to print.
docHub To reduce PDF file size in docHub, open the file in Acrobat, select Tools, and click on PDF Optimiser from the drop-down menu. Once you do that, Acrobat will apply default settings to your file to attempt to reduce its size.
To switch to Full Screen mode, use the keyboard shortcut - Ctrl + L.
Here is a simple guide to doing so: Open the pdf file in docHub. Once the file is open, click on the File menu at the top menu bar and select Save As Other Now select Reduced File Size PDF to download the pdf file in a compressed file format. Select the destination and file name and click on Save.
By default Compress is selected, which will compress the text and graphics when converting to PDF so that the size of the PDF file will be smaller. However, if you want to have a better image quality in the PDF file you can turn off text/graphics compression (size of the PDF will increase though).
Acrobat reduces the size of a PDF file without compromising quality. The Acrobat PDF compression tool balances an optimized file size against the expected quality of images, fonts, and other file content.
If you start with a low-resolution image or other file, the resulting PDF may look blurry or pixelated, especially if printed out. PDF converters cant make your finished document look any clearer than the original. Use files with resolutions of at least 72 dots per inch for Web display and 200 to 300 dpi for printing.
Print Ready PDF How To Create A High Resolution PDF File Using Acrobat DC In The Save AS PDF box you then have to click on Settings. Next in the Preflight dialog you have to select Save as PDF/X-4 and then click on OK. You now have a high-resolution print Ready PDF.
Open the Optimize PDF tool You can access this tool from the Tools center. Click the Tools tab at the top left, scroll down until you see the Optimize PDF tool, then select Open from the drop-down menu.
