You can choose whether PDFs download or open in Chrome when you go to a site. On your computer, open Chrome. At the top right, click More. Settings. Click Privacy and security. Site Settings. Click Additional content settings. PDF documents. Choose the option that you want as your default setting.
You can easily do this with a few clicks: Locate and browse for the PDF you want to view. Right-click on it. Select Open with Choose another app. Choose Google Chrome and click on Always.
Clear Browser Cache and Cookies Clearing your browser cache should prompt your browser to download up to date content and hopefully fix the issue with rendering your PDFs properly. Please note that you will likely have to sign back into websites in Chrome once youve cleared your browser cookies.
Use your file explorer to navigate to the desired PDF document. Right-click on the file and choose Open With Google Chrome. Your PDF document will open in a new Chrome browser window.
