Step 1: Export your data from Brave Click the Brave menu in the toolbar and choose Settings. Click Autofill and passwords Password Manager. Click at the top right of the list of saved passwords and select Export passwords. Click Export passwords and enter the password you use to log in to your computer.
Sync Your Data - Desktop to Desktop Enter the word code into your second computer to begin the Sync Chain . Go to your other Computer and select Menu Brave Sync . In your second computer, this time select Enter a sync chain code . Enter your Sync Chain code in to your second computer.
Make sure you properly backup any Rewards/wallet data, make a safe copy of the User Data folder as mentioned above, then when you reinstall Windows and Brave, return to that same directory and paste/replace the saved copy of your User Data folder over the one made by the new installation.
Steps to Export Settings in Brave: Open Brave Browser: Make sure youre on the latest version. Access the Settings Panel: Click on the three vertical dots (or hamburger menu) on the top right corner. Navigate to Export Options: Within the settings, theres an option to import or export browsing data.
How do I import or export browsing data? Follow Launch Brave and open the Main menu. Select Bookmarks -- Import Bookmarks and Settings. Select from the list of detected browsers you want to Import from. Check the desired settings to import and click Import.
One way is to set up sync between both devices: On old laptop, click hamburger menu icon. Click on Start a new sync chain - choose Computer - copy the code and save it so that its transferrable. On new laptop, once again go to Sync menu. Wait until it finishes and choose what you want to sync.
To import bookmarks and settings: Click the hamburger menu button to open the Brave main menu. Choose Settings. Click Get started. Click Import bookmarks and settings. Choose the browser you want to import from. Choose the information to import (bookmarks, settings, auto-filled passwords, etc.), and click Import.
You cant directly import bookmarks from one PC to another, so you have only two options: Use Brave Sync. Manually export bookmarks to . html file, transfer it to the new PC and import in Brave using Bookmark manager.
