If you are wondering how to find the owner of a property, you could do a land registry check. If this doesnt work then you can access local authorities, access local records, or ask surrounding land owners for more information.
A Warranty Deed is the best of the best. It protects you from all future and past issues with property title and any outstanding debts or liens.
Go to the registry of Deeds and then request for CTC Check and ensure you receive all the pages of the title. And also check whether the propertys title number and the name of the owner are accurate before visiting the Registry of Deeds.
The Register of Deeds should be able to provide you a Certified True Copy of the title to ensure its authenticity. Request the seller of the property to give you a photocopy of the title since the Register of Deeds will need information such as the title number and the owners name.
Any changes to Title have to be made through the Land Title Survey Authority of BC by way of the registration of a Transfer form, which your lawyer or notary public would handle on your behalf.
Deeds are usually recorded by the property owner, real estate agent, or closing attorney in the Mobile County Probate Court records department. If your deed was recorded, you may purchase a copy. For more information you can call the records department of the Mobile County Probate Court at 251-574-6000.
There are five places you can go to if you want to verify the authenticity of property titles. Registry of Deeds. Municipal or City Assessors Treasurers Offices. Land Registration Authority (LRA) Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB)
Go to your countys Clerk of Court website. You can search for both official records and court records there. Start with Online Search of Official Records. Search by the name of the owner and check deeds only.
You no longer need to be concerned because you can now get a certified authentic copy of the Transfer Certificate of Title (CTC), Orignal Certificate of Title (OCT), and Condominium Certificate of Title (CCT) online!
Searching for these documents online can be done at .deeds.gov.za, my deed search South Africa or at DeedsWeb.
