A log-log plot represents observed units described by two variables, say x and y , as a scatter graph . In a log-log plot, the two axes display the logarithm of values of the variables, not the values themselves.
A log-log plot is a scatterplot that uses logarithmic scales on both the x-axis and the y-axis. This type of plot is useful for visualizing two variables when the true relationship between them follows a power law.
Log-Log Plot in Base R: To create a Log-Log plot in base R we pass log(data) as data argument instead of data in the plot() function. The log() function converts the data value into its logarithmic value. The log() function by default calculates the natural logarithms.
If Y = log(y) and X = log(x) then Y = nX. This shows the linear relationship. Plotting Y against X, i.e., log(y) against log(x), leads to a straight line as shown below. (a) a (b) b (c) c (d) d Note that the scales on the two axes are not the same.

Click the chart, and then click the Chart Design tab. Click Add Chart Element Gridlines. Choose the axis that you want to apply the gridlines to or click More Gridline Options to open the Format Major Gridlines pane.
Axis scale - You can set the scale of an axis to logarithmic (log) scale using the hAxis/vAxis. logScale or hAxis/vAxis. scaleType options. For a complete list of axis configuration options, look at the hAxis and vAxis options in the documentation for your specific chart.
To create a log-log graph in Microsoft Excel, you must first create an XY (scatter) graph. This is the only graph type that will work; other graph types permit logarithmic scales only on the Y axis. To create a log-log graph, follow the steps below for your version of Excel.
Add a trendline On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Double-click a chart. At the right, click Customize. Series. Optional: Next to Apply to, choose the data series you want to add the trendline to. Click Trendline. If you dont see this option, trendlines dont work with your data.
