To fix Microsoft Edge not opening PDF files, open Edge, click on the three horizontal dots, go to settings. In settings, go to cookies and site permissions, find PDF documents, ensure "always download PDF file" is off, and PDF view settings is on. If it still doesn't work, search "default apps" in the search box, search for .pdf, set Microsoft Edge as the default PDF opening app.
