hello and welcome to another video tutorial from computer guard comm this tutorial will look at using Excel to create a lottery number generator Im going to start off by looking at the setup of the workbook in this workbook we have two sheets a calculation sheet and a draw sheet a calculation sheet has been set up with a list of the 49 ball numbers theyre going to be produced at random from this lottery number draw its also range of cells numbered 1 to 6 which are going to be used to produce 6 of the 49 balls at random there are a couple of columns set up ready to provide the randomization side of this through formulas will be entered in columns a and B the draw sheet on the other hand is the presented side of it this is where the six numbers will be produced and the normal end-user will not see the calculations being used that will be hidden and this will show the six numbers produced like magic back onto the calculation sheet and well start off by using the rand function inside
