In this video, we will learn how to create custom fields for task or events. When you navigate to task or event fields in setup, you may notice that there is not a new button to create new fields for that object. Instead, custom fields for tasks and events are created at the activity level. It is important to note that the custom fields are not available on activities in group edition. See the create custom fields help documentation. We have put this link in the short description of this video for you. Log into the org, click the gear icon, and click setup. On the top left, click object manager. Type activity in the quick find. Click the activity label. On the left side, click fields and relationships. Click new. In this example, we will create a new text field. On step four, you can add the custom fields to both the event and activity page layouts.
