Many forms have fields that must be filled in by the user. One of the advantages of using mobile forms over paper or spreadsheets is that you can prevent the user from submitting the form until all of the mandatory information has been filled in.
Update a field In a document you have open, right-click a field, such as a table of contents, a page number, or a cross-reference, and click Update Field.

If you see field codes showing repeatedly, check your word processor settings for displaying fields. In Word for Windows, open Word Options, then choose Advanced and uncheck the Show field codes instead of their values box.
