Select Layout Breaks Next Page. Double-click the header or footer on the first page of the new section. Click Link to Previous to turn it off and unlink the header or footer from the previous section. Note: Headers and footers are linked separately.
Go to Layout Page Setup Header Footer. Under Header or Footer, on the pop-up menu, select (none).

On the status bar, click the Page Layout View button. Select the header or footer text you want to change. On the Home tab in the Font group, set the formatting options that you want to apply to the header / footer. When youre done, click the Normal view button on the status bar.
Follow these steps: Open the header or footer area, depending on which one you want to change. Type the text you want left-aligned in the header or footer. Display the Design tab of the ribbon. In the Position group, click the Insert Alignment Tab tool. Click the Center radio button.
Change the header and footer margin Click VIEW Ruler. Double-click the header or footer area. Press CTRL+A. On the ruler, drag the right indent marker.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and double-click on your footer. It should now read Footer -Section 2-. Click on Link to Previous in the ribbon. This button should be deselected to ensure that the footers are different in each section.
