The W-2 reports income, income tax, Social Security contributions and Medicare tax. It is the equivalent to a Canadian T4 Statement of Remuneration Paid (T4 slip).
The form W‐2 details the employees compensation, tax withholdings and required disclosures for the year. An employee who consents to receiving the Form W-2 electronically will not receive a paper copy (unless specifically requested).
