Welcome to the Grok Shop. I got a really quick video for you guys today on how to fix this problem when you click a link and you get no app found to open URL. My wife came to me with this problem (of course). If this happens to you its pretty easy to fix. Now be aware her phones a Pixel which is running Android 9 which is Pie which is the latest releases of this video. So on this Android Rev were gonna go to Settings, then System and then Advanced, and then Reset Options. In here, were gonna go Reset App Preferences. Okay now just confirm. Now, on earlier Android revs, just go Settings, then Apps, then the three dot menu, and Reset App Preferences, and confirm. Thats how its done. Thanks for watching. and

Yes A url with many dots is valid. However a domain name with multiple consecutive dots is not valid since the length of each label has to be more than 0.
Periods with URLs Whenever possible, avoid putting URLs in text. Rewrite the sentence so that the URL isn't at the end of the sentence. Put the URL on a separate line from the text, omitting the final period.
The lower case letters "a"--"z", digits, and the characters plus ("+"), period ("."), and hyphen ("-") are allowed. For resiliency, programs interpreting URLs should treat upper case letters as equivalent to lower case in scheme names (e.g., allow "HTTP" as well as "http").
so basically, an url contains 2 dots (..) is not valid because the label is empty? Yes.
The dot ( . ) is the character that was defined to be the delimiter in domain names (see DNS). It delimits the labels in a domain name. The domain name .google.com consists of three labels: com (aka. the top-level domain)
ing to https://.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc1738 section the hpath element of an URL can not contain a '. ' (period).
You cannot have dots in the end of an URL - no matter if it's a blog post or a forum post, like this one.
Relative paths make use of two special symbols, a dot (.) and a double-dot (..), which translate into the current directory and the parent directory. Double dots are used for moving up in the hierarchy. A single dot represents the current directory itself.
Relative paths refer to file locations based on the current directory. That is, they often refer to locations in the form of “up one directory level” and often begin with one or two dots (“.”). An example would be “../index. html” which would refer to the file “index.
