so hi this is michael and this is an extension of the tutorial for locking and unlocking individual cells in excel 2010 what ive done here ive added the text box the previous one was the cells these cells that we unlocked so it can be changed and locked this one the the gray ones and everything else around it of course so what weve done here is we have added a text box and by default everything is going to be locked if you uh do the protect sheet but if you want someone to actually edit the text or be able to add text into this and im going to show you how and youre going to click in the text box youre going to right click youre going to choose the format shape i dont know why they chose to name it format shape because it has nothing to do with the shape but when you go down to properties you have the properties for printing object locked and locked text and printing object if you have this selected you can print the information inside the text box if you unselect it theyre go
