Sum bold numbers in a range with User Defined Function Hold down the ALT + F11 keys, and it opens the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications window. To recalculate all sheets in all open workbooks, press Ctrl + Alt + F9. If you need to recalculate only one formula on a sheet, select the formula cell, enter the editing mode either by pressing F2 or double clicking the cell, and then press the Enter key.

The SUM function adds values. You can add individual values, cell references or ranges or a mix of all three. For example: =SUM(A2:A10) Adds the values in cells A2:10. =SUM(A2:A10, C2:C10) Adds the values in cells A2:10, as well as cells C2:C10.
This is because your formula is stored as text. To change it, go to Home tab Select General from the dropdown. Then, press F2 and then Enter to recalculate the value in the cell. Your calculated result will now be displayed!
Keep formula cell reference constant with the F4 key 1. Select the cell with the formula you want to make it constant. 2. In the Formula Bar, put the cursor in the cell which you want to make it constant, then press the F4 key.
The SUM function does not add up any values when there are spaces in its formula. Instead, it will display the formula in its cell. To fix that, select the formulas cell; and then click in the far left of the function bar. Press the Backspace key to remove any spaces before the = at the beginning of the function.
Use the SUM function to total a column Click on the cell in your table where you want to see the total of the selected cells. Enter =sum( to this selected cell. Now select the range with the numbers you want to total and press Enter on your keyboard. Tip. You can enter the range address manually like =sum(B1:B2000) .
Fill the cell with a nearby formula to correct it Select the cell with the problem. and then select either Copy Formula from Above or Copy Formula from Left. If that doesnt work and you need the formula from the cell below, click Home Fill Up.
