hey there its john with excel campus and in this video im going to share a tip for improving performance with your excel tables [Music] so the tip here is to not use whole column references when youre creating tables and i stumbled upon this by really making a mistake a bit of a bonehead move here when i was creating a table i should have known better but i did accidentally use a whole column reference and that can really slow down the performance of your tables now if you dont know what a whole column reference is dont worry im going to explain that in this video the video will also be packed with a bunch of tips and tricks for working with tables and ranges so im sure youll find a lot of value in it so lets jump right in here and this is the table that im having an issue with now this table is only 250 rows long and seven columns wide and it does not contain any formulas so its a really relatively small table the performance issue that im experiencing is if i go over here
