to create a hanging indent in powerpoint um it's going to depend on what the settings are are already in the program so i just have a blank slide here with my text so what i did is i'm going to highlight the text and then on the home menu i'm going to click this little arrow next to where it says paragraph and currently my indentation before text is starting at zero so i'm going to bump that to 0.5 and then select here under special it might say none i'm going to select hanging and then click ok the other thing i'll then have to do is go in and double space it so i like this little icon up here and i just select two um what you may want to do is just type all of your reference entries without the hanging indent first and then um just make sure you don't hit enter until the end of an entry type them all and then go in and set the hanging indent when i tried to set the hanging indent before i typed it did not work properly so i hope that helps
