This is my water closet in my master bathroom and you can see a spot right back here where the door hit the wall a few times right after we painted and hadnt put this guy back on. STOP IT! What makes it easy is that all you really need is spackling paste, a putty knife, you will need a little bit of sandpaper and youll need some more the paint from this wall you can also see here where I cut out a little section because I didnt have any more of this paint and I had to go get it matched. Were gonna take out as much of the little loose dust and such as you can. The you gotta scrape some of this off as well. Take your spackling paste just kind of get that into that hole as well as you can. Of course, youll need to go from opposite directions. Im gonna let this dry for a couple of hours and then come back and see if I need to fill it in any more. It doesnt feel quite level, and theres a little bit of a spot thereooh yeah and theres some paint chipping off here so Im go

Heat, used for creating steam to help 'lift' the dent 'out', can be applied using a household iron (see photo 3). Only use the very tip of the iron's sole plate and (sparingly with the heat) moving the iron all the time it is in use.

Another great option is to hire a photo restoration professional, who can restore ripped, stained or otherwise damaged photos. They can even digitally enhance it as well. Once you have your photos restored, hang them up!
Paper tears and holes can be fixed using archival paper tape or a Japanese paper patch pasted on with wheat starch. Waves and buckles can be ironed out or removed by sticking the drawing paper to an acid-free, self-adhesive board.
First, heat the dent with the hairdryer approximately six inches away for about 30 seconds. Then cover the dent with a piece of aluminum foil and rub dry ice over it. The rapid change from hot to cold should make the dent pop out within a minute or so.
Lay the canvas face down on a clean thick cotton towel. Hold a steam iron above the back of the canvas about an inch or so. Lightly release steam onto the dent or wrinkle until it's wet. Wipe off excess water, then let it dry upright.
Pop out the dent with a hair dryer and compressed air This will expand the dent and make it more pliable. When the car is hot to the touch, immediately spray the dented area with a can of compressed air. The cold air coming from the can will cause the area to contract. This should make the dent pop out.
Just use a sharp pencil to get color directly into it, so it blends into the rest of your drawing. If the indentation is wider and more shallow, you can use a less sharp pencil and different strokes to repair the damaged area. Just be careful where the indentation and undamaged paper meet.
Image editing tools like Photoshop, Lightroom, and Picasa can be used to repair simple damages in the JPG files. Often simply by opening the JPG files with these tools and renaming the file fixes corrupt or broken JPG files.
Take a couple of photos from multiple angle and zooms. We recommend standing a couple of steps back and at a 45 degree angle on each side of the damage. Video is even better. Slowly pan back and forth capturing the detail and position of the dent on the car panel.
