Use a text box to add text on top of a photo In your file, make sure that youve inserted a photo. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Text Box, drag to draw a text box anywhere near the picture, and then type your text.
The best way to stretch an image to fit the background of an element is to use the CSS3 property, for background-size, and set it equal to cover. Take a look at this example of it in action.
Make sure the image path is set correctly in the background-image url. Once you have made sure that your CSS file is linked correctly, also check that the image itself is set correctly. Again, you will want to open your code inspector in the browser to check.
To keep your background image fixed, you have to use background-attachment property with the value Fixed.Values of background-attachment property: Scroll: It is the default value for the background-attachment property. Fixed: The background image will not scroll.
The most common simple way to add background image is using the background image attribute inside the tag. The background attribute which we specified in the tag is not supported in HTML5. Using CSS properties, we can also add background image in a webpage.
To make a background image not repeat in HTML, specify no-repeat in the background-repeat property or the background shorthand property. The background image is set to no-repeat using the background-repeat property.
How to Add Background Color in HTML. To add background color in HTML, use the CSS background-color property. Set it to the color name or code you want and place it inside a style attribute. Then add this style attribute to an HTML element, like a table, heading, div, or span tag.
Go to Design Page Color. Choose the color you want under Theme Colors or Standard Colors. If you dont see the color you want, select More Colors, and then choose a color from the Colors box.
The background-attachment property sets whether a background image scrolls with the rest of the page, or is fixed.
Changing Text Background Color in CSS. To change the background color of the inline text, go to the section. Simply add the appropriate CSS selector and define the color and background-color property with the values you want.
