Youve done the bulk of the work and youre just adding the extra pages now. And then you happen along one page that just doesnt have a lot of content. You look at it, and the footer is floating up there. Its not where you want it to be. Looking at it and going, what? Oh. It just doesnt look good, right? You can use flexbox to ensure that the footer is always at the bottom of the page. This is done by setting the giving the body element min-height: 100vh , display: flex and flex-direction: column .
It is overlapping to your content because of its position. The only way to give them some space between the content and the footer is to remove that custom css and then add a bottom padding in the last section element. Footers are located in the margin area at the bottom of a page. Headers and footers generally contain document information, such as the file name, author, date created, page numbering and the like. This information is repeated on each page and thus enables the reader to easily navigate the document.
If you want to keep the footer at the bottom of the text (sticky footer), but keep it from always staying at the bottom of the screen, you can use: position: relative; (keeps the footer in relation to the content of the page, not the view port) and clear: both; (will keep the footer from riding up on other content).
To do this just remove margin top from footer and set margin top and bottom to auto margin: auto 0; on your main content (in my case article element) or margin: auto; to center it on both direction (vertically and horizontally) and it will make content align to center.

You definitely do not want to keep extremely important links only in the footer. For example, if your blog drives a lot of traffic, you wouldnt want to keep it hidden in the footer. Instead, youd keep it somewhere in the main navigation.
Just add data-position=fixed to the div tag if you are using jQuery. Hope this helps.
