Navigate to Slide Master Tab - if you are not already in Slide Master view, navigate to the Slide Master tab on the top ribbon. Select Lock Shapes from the top ribbon. The file will close briefly then re-open. Once re-opened the PowerPoint watermark will be locked to the Master Slides to prevent editing or removal.
In PowerPoint, you can put a text background in your slides to get that watermark effect. To add a watermark to all the slides, Select View Slide Master. Select Insert Text Box, and then click and drag to draw the text box on the slide master. Type the watermark text (such as DRAFT) in the text box.
In most cases this is not a problem as the content of most documents is largely transparent. However this is not the case for PowerPoint presentations or scanned content. The solution is to change the z-order of the watermark to a positive value to make sure it is displayed in front of the content.
Add the watermark On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click WordArt, and then click the text style that you want to use for your watermark. Select the watermark, and then drag it to the position that you want. Select the text inside the watermark, and then type the text that you want to use.
Insert a watermark on just one page Select where you want the watermark to be on the page. Select Design Watermark right-click the watermark you want, and select Insert at Current Document Position. The watermark appears as a text box.
On the Home tab, under Insert, click Text, and then click Header and Footer. On the Notes and Handouts tab, select Header, and then type the text you want.
Right-click the slide and click Format Background. In the Format Background pane on the right, click Picture or Texture Fill, and under Insert picture from, click an option. In the Format Background pane, slide the Transparency bar to the right to set the transparency percentage.
Select any slide. In the Header and Footer dialog box, click the Notes and Handouts tab, clear the boxes for the options you want to remove from the header or footer. Select Apply to All.
