Hi everyone, Kevin here. Today I want to show you how you can create your very own fillable form using Microsoft Word. First off, what is a fillable form? You can have people go in and fill out a form, but they wont be able to edit the questions or the structure of the form. You can use things like check boxes, text fields, drop down lists, date pickers, to build your form. Once someones finished completing your form, they can e-mail it back, they could print it out, or you could even connect it to a database. Connecting to a database is outside of the scope of todays tutorial. Its kind of like an docHub PDF form, but its Microsofts version of it. Ive included sample files today if you want to follow along, otherwise lets jump on the PC and lets get started. If you cannot highlight or select text in a PDF, the file might probably be a scanned copy and cannot be edited. How can you tell whether a copy was scanned? Its simple; the alignment of the text will be off, the pages borders wont be in the same place, and some text will be zoomed in more than others.

Why Some PDF Files Cannot be Highlighted Main Reason. One of the most important reason due to which users cant highlight text in PDF document is the Comment Restrictions. When this type of security is applied on the PDF files, the docHub Reader Highlight Tool stops working or gets greyed out.
Copy specific content from a PDF Right-click the document, and choose Select Tool from the pop-up menu. Drag to select text, or click to select an image. Right-click the selected item, and choose Copy.
