This video is for those who are not currently registered with the FCC and plan on applying to become an FCC licensed amateur or marine radio operator. Each applicant will need to first create an FCC profile complete with a username and password. Then the applicant will need to create an FCC Registration Number, also known as an FRN, which will be linked automatically to the user name and password after the FRN has been created. The FRN is what the volunteer exam coordinator will use to link your application to your FCC profile. To begin the process of creating an FCC profile, visit, fcc. gov forward slash ULS, and click on the REGISTER link at the top of the page. Creating an FCC username will allow each user to have a unique login ID to manage their FRN. At this point you have an option to register through the new Commission Registration System or the old system.
