Hi everyone, Kevin here. Today I want to show you how you can create your very own fillable form using Microsoft Word. First off, what is a fillable form? You can have people go in and fill out a form, but they wont be able to edit the questions or the structure of the form. You can use things like check boxes, text fields, drop down lists, date pickers, to build your form. Once someones finished completing your form, they can e-mail it back, they could print it out, or you could even connect it to a database. Connecting to a database is outside of the scope of todays tutorial. Its kind of like an docHub PDF form, but its Microsofts version of it. Ive included sample files today if you want to follow along, otherwise lets jump on the PC and lets get started. Make sure that the security settings allow form filling. (See File Properties Security.) Make sure that the PDF includes interactive, or fillable, form fields. Sometimes form creators forget to convert their PDFs to interactive forms, or they intentionally design a form you can only fill in by hand.
Click on the Markup button, located on the left side column. This will open more options on the toolbar. Choose your desired tool and location where you want to insert a comment in PDF. Options include Text comment, sticky note, text box, or text callout.
Comment on a Markup From the Documents or Documents tab for your project, navigate to and click on the document or drawing you want to view. Open the Notes Panel one of two ways: Click the markup entry you wish to comment on. In the Enter a reply Click the Save Annotations button to save your comments.
Open the PDF document or form in Acrobat or Acrobat Reader. Click Fill Sign in the right pane, or click the Sign icon in the toolbar. Click Fill and Sign. The specific tools and options are displayed in the toolbar.
