Mike are you ready yes then go go Im not ready just kidding ah so my tip is gonna show you how to fill any live text with any photo any pattern any texture in InDesign it sounds impossible but its not the key is a little obscure setting in the effects panel called knockout group so for example this is a simple layout I just have one text frame with Atlanta a skyline photo and if the looking layers underneath that I have a Giant Peach so say I wanted to put that cliche peach skin texture in the word Atlanta on top of the skyline now you might think okay Ill convert the type to outlines and then paste it into you dont have to do that you can keep the text live all you got to do is select the text frame go to the effects panel and change the blending mode in this case from normal to multiply now multiply makes that white fill disappear because when you multiply with white it goes away now hold down shift and select the top image group them now I have a new item in the effects panel r

Right-click the chart, and then choose Select Data. The Select Data Source dialog box appears on the worksheet that contains the source data for the chart. Leaving the dialog box open, click in the worksheet, and then click and drag to select all the data you want to use for the chart, including the new data series.
Add data labels Click the chart, and then click the Chart Design tab. Click Add Chart Element and select Data Labels, and then select a location for the data label option. Note: The options will differ depending on your chart type. If you want to show your data label inside a text bubble shape, click Data Callout.

To apply a custom WordArt style, click Text Fill, Text Outline, or Text Effects, and then select the formatting options that you want.
In the worksheet, click the cell that contains the title or data label text that you want to change. Edit the existing contents, or type the new text or value, and then press ENTER. The changes you made automatically appear on the chart.
To add a text box to a bar chart, first click on the bar that you want to annotate. Then, click the Insert tab on the ribbon and click Text Box. A text box will appear on your screen. You can then type your annotation directly into the text box.
