hey everyone today im going to show you a formula that will give you the age of something or someone at any given point in time just remember its based on when i created the video so yours might look a little bit different but it will work depending on whenever you create the formula so for example if someone was born on the 2nd of march 1990 the age of that person would be 31 and if we change this date to say the 14th of november 2003 the age of the person would be 17. now im just going to quickly show you how to build this formula and ill also show you how to do it if we had an end date that wasnt today and you just want to see someones age or something at that point in time so very quickly ill just show you how the todays date formula works in excel its inbuilt so its really handy equals today open bracket close bracket you can see the current date is the 30th of august 2021 now if i build the formula all in one so we get the age of someone whose date of birth was 2003 bas

Age = Given date - Date of birth. The steps to calculate a persons age from his date of birth to a given date are listed below. The first step is to take the difference between the years ( specified year - birth year). Note that a fully completed year is considered.
Use the DATEDIF function when you want to calculate the difference between two dates. First put a start date in a cell, and an end date in another.Calculate age in accumulated years, months, and days Use DATEDIF to find the total years. Use DATEDIF again with ym to find months. Use a different formula to find days.
To count number of people who are exactly 18 years of age, type =COUNTIF(B3:B11,18) and hit the enter key on the keyboard of your computer. In above example B2 to B11 is the Range of cells to Count and 18 (Age) is the Criteria.
Simply by subtracting the birth date from the current date. This conventional age formula can also be used in Excel. The first part of the formula (TODAY()-B2) returns the difference between the current date and date of birth is days, and then you divide that number by 365 to get the numbers of years.
=(YEAR(NOW())-YEAR(A2)) The result is the age of personthe difference between today and the birthdate in A2. This example uses the YEAR and NOW functions. If this cell doesnt display a number, ensure that it is formatted as a number or General. Learn how to format a cell as a number or date.
To group ages into buckets like this, right-click any value in the Age field and choose Group from the menu. When the Grouping dialog box appears, set an interval that makes sense for your data. In this case, Ill group by 10 years. When you click OK, youll see your data neatly grouped by age range.
1:04 12:33 Is today we use the today. Function minus date of birth b2 returns the difference between theMoreIs today we use the today. Function minus date of birth b2 returns the difference between the current date and date of birth in days. And then you divide that number by 365.
Add or subtract dates Enter your due dates in column A. Enter the number of days to add or subtract in column B. You can enter a negative number to subtract days from your start date, and a positive number to add to your date. In cell C2, enter =A2+B2, and copy down as needed.
How to get age from birthday in years, months and days To get the number of years: =DATEDIF(B2, TODAY(), Y) To get the number of months: =DATEDIF(B2, TODAY(), YM) To get the number of days: =DATEDIF(B2,TODAY(),MD)
