To convert PDF to JPEG Open the PDF in Acrobat. Select Convert from the global bar. From the left panel, select image format, and then from the drop-down menu, select JPEG. Select Convert to JPEG. In the dialog that opens, select a location where you want to save the file and if required, change the file name.
That means that the file is still a PDF file, but that Firefox is just the default reader in Windows. You can press the Change button on that window and select Acrobat as the reader and that should set the default reader back to Acrobat.
