a new feature in the iphone and android xl mobile app is the ability to take a photo of your data and import it into an excel worksheet and the great thing about this feature is that its available to all excel mobile app users no 365 subscription is necessary and you can import the data from an image into an existing file or a new file youll find the data from a picture icon in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen if you dont see it make sure you have an empty cell selected and then click the data from picture icon this will open the camera tool on your phone and you can take a picture of the data or if you already have a picture in your photo library click the icon in the bottom left now its important that the orientation of the photo is portrait as i have it here even if the printout is landscape ensure the lighting is good otherwise excel will struggle to interpret the characters correctly and when youre ready click the button to take the photo you can use the pull handles
