Have you ever used the Extend command with the Fence option? Use this technique as an easier way to extend lines around odd shaped objects. Lets say I have this part. Id like to extend all the centerlines to the same length. First Ill create a circle to use as the boundary edge. Next from the Home tab Ill select Extend. Ill select the circle for the boundary edge and press Enter. Now Ill right-click and select Fence. I can also press F for the Fence option. This allows me to select objects to extend by drawing a line or fence that crosses the object. Any object that crosses the fence will be extended. When I finish extending the lines Ill select Erase and select the boundary edge. Now I have all the centerlines extended to the same length. Give it a try.
