Today, Im going to show you how to take the data from your PDF form fields in docHub Pro and export just the form field data into Excel so you can track and analyze the results. Now, this is different from just how to convert a PDF file into an Excel file. If you want to know how to do that, be sure and check out the other video on my channel. Lets take a look. Okay, I have my file folder open here on my desktop where I have four of the same PDF forms filled in. Its the same form, but its filled in by four different people. So, Ive saved those out here onto a folder. And so what Im going to do is show you how to open this in docHub. Im just going to right-click, and were going to say open with and select docHub. And this is going to open in docHub Pro. So, this is the completed form, and these are the form fields that I want to export into Excel so that I can do some further data analysis. Method 1: Using docHub Open your PDF file with docHub. On the menu bar, select File Export PDF. Select Convert to, then click the Excel button. Click Convert, name your Excel file and save. Open your Excel file, then save it as a CSV file.
In Acrobat, open the completed form file. From the All tools menu, select Prepare a form and then from the left panel that opens, select Export data. In the Export Form Data As dialog box, select the format (FDF, XFDF, XML, or TXT) in which you want to save the form data.
Follow the steps below to flatten a completed PDF fillable form: Open fillable form. Add appropriate data. Right click on document and select Print. Select the PDF printer. ( Select OK. Specify location to save the printed, flattened version of the form. Select Save. File the flattened form in CM/ECF.
Open a PDF file in Acrobat. Click on the Export PDF tool in the right pane. Choose spreadsheet as your export format, and then select Microsoft Excel Workbook. Click Export. If your PDF documents contain scanned text, Acrobat will run text recognition automatically.
