The speaker has created previous videos on importing and exporting passwords from various browsers, but is now focusing on Opera GX due to the difficulty many people have with the process. They explain that the initial setup for importing and exporting passwords in Opera GX is not obvious and can be tedious. In the video tutorial, they demonstrate how to access password settings by going to privacy and security in settings, scrolling down to advanced, and then clicking on passwords. If the browser is fresh, there will be no passwords saved, and the option to import and export passwords using the three dots is not present. The only option is to manually add passwords.
