Open the PDF document you would like to password protect, select the Tools tab, scroll down to find the Protect Standardize section, select Protect. 2. The Protect tool bar will appear, select the Encrypt button drop menu. Here you can either Encrypt with a Certificate or Encrypt with a Password.
Protect a document with a password Go to File Info Protect Document Encrypt with Password. Type a password, press OK, type it again and press OK to confirm it. Save the file to make sure the password takes effect.
How to Password protect a text file Right-click on the text file and choose Properties. Under the General tab, click the Advanced button and then select Encrypt Contents to Secure Data on the new window. Click OK and then Apply. Continue clicking the Encrypt the File Only option and click OK.
Add a Password to Microsoft Office First, open the Office document you would like to protect. Click the File menu, select the Info tab, and then select the Protect Document button. Click Encrypt with Password. Enter your password then click OK.
One-click option to protect a PDF with a password Open the PDF in Acrobat. Do any of the following: Go to All tools Protect a PDF Protect with password. In the Protect Using Password dialog box, select if you want to set the password for viewing or editing the PDF. Type and retype your password. Select Apply.
How to password protect a folder Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder you want to password-protect. Right-click on the folder. Select Properties from the menu. Click the Advanced button, then select Encrypt content to secure data. Double-click the folder to ensure you can access it.
How to send password-protected PDF files. Launch docHub and select the Protect tool from the Tools menu. Choose your protection settings. Once youve protected your file, save it as a separate copy for safekeeping. Select Share With Others from the top toolbar. Add the recipients email addresses.
